Thai ANPR on AMD Kria KV260 accepted in IEEE Access
Research update — 23 October 2026
MDAP has announced the acceptance of its manuscript, “INT8-Quantization Robustness for Edge-FPGA License-Plate Recognition: A Two-Stage Thai ANPR System on the AMD Kria KV260,” in IEEE Access.
The work examines how INT8 quantization affects a two-stage Thai automatic number-plate recognition system deployed on the AMD Kria KV260 edge FPGA platform.
The research team reported 47 frames per second at 9.3 W for the complete system in its experimental setup. The announcement also highlights the role of the csp4 block in achieving stable INT8 deployment.
The announcement acknowledges Watchara Ruangsang and the research team, together with Design Gateway.
